The EGO Blast 100 or 150 fixed fire suppression system is one of the most effective halon gas replacement products available on the market today. Halon is a family of chemical agents used for fire suppression.
The aerosol generation method used in the EGO Blast 100 or 150 fixed system provides sufficient driving force for rapid discharge and effective distribution of the extinguishing agent.
The discharge from the EGO Blast 100 or 150 system is a whitish gas with a density similar to that of air. The small particle size (0.1 micrometers) ensures three-dimensional distribution with long suspension times. The discharged particles do not absorb moisture and are therefore neither conductive nor corrosive.
Installation is very quick and easy, reducing installation costs.
The generator can be activated automatically or manually, but additional accessories are required depending on the activation method chosen.
The EGO Blast series consists of sealed aluminum containers with inner and outer cylinders. Inside the non-pressurized cylinder is the solid compound that generates the aerosol, the solid chemical refrigerant, and the ignition devices.

The signal activates the solid chemical compound that generates aerosols. This creates a chemical combustion reaction to start producing an aerosol.
The extinguishing agent consists of dry chemical microparticles, mainly potassium carbonates and carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and water vapor gases. The activated aerosol particles are propelled through a solid chemical refrigerant for rapid and effective distribution of the aerosol throughout the space.
As soon as the ambient temperature exceeds the cable activation temperature, between 60° and 105°C, the device immediately activates the EGO Blast unit.
The devices can also be activated using a manual activation switch connected to the control box.
When connected to a fire detector (smoke detector), the alarm is triggered as soon as the external fire alarm system detects smoke. The detector sends a signal to the control box, which activates the EGO Blast units.
