On board, water is precious. It is stored, transported, and sometimes exposed to temperature variations and successive refills in ports or stations. Between autonomy and comfort, the issue of water quality becomes central.
The Safe Water Filter 3.1 and Safe Water Filter 4.1 water softener have been designed to provide long-term safety for water from on-board tanks. Installed under the sink, they allow you to drink and cook with safe water directly on board, without relying on bottles.
On a boat or in a motorhome, fresh water is stored in a closed tank. When the filler cap is removed, the water comes from a network whose quality can vary. Once stored, it can change naturally.
A water softener is installed at the tank outlet, on the cold water circuit. It acts as a high-precision barrier, with the water passing through several levels of filtration, retaining bacteria, fine particles, and unwanted residues, while retaining essential minerals.
Unlike conventional filtration, the ultrafiltration used in the Safe Water Filter 3.1 and Safe Water Filter 4.1 systems works on a microscopic scale. The water softener makes water safe for consumption and improves its taste by removing the stagnant flavors associated with storage.
