Filler Cap Connector - Click & Fill

Click & Fill - Filler Cap Connector

The boat filler cap connector is a nautical accessory used to connect a filling hose to the opening designed to supply a tank on board a boat, most often a fresh water tank.

What is a filler cap?

On a boat, the filler neck is the opening on the deck, closed by a plug, which provides access to the tank. When this plug is removed to fill the tank with water, you are usually left with a simple threaded hole... into which you try to insert a supply hose.

The Click & Fill bilge plug connector developed by Navy Clic solves the problem of filling the tank.

  • The Click & Fill bunghole cap connector attaches to the tank bunghole;
  • The Click & Fill bunghole cap connector creates a stable, watertight connection between the hose and the tank;
  • The Click & Fill bunghole cap connector prevents the hose from slipping or falling during filling.

Why filter water beforehand?

In France, tap water supplied in ports is usually tested twice a year to ensure it meets health standards for boaters.

Travellers are well aware, not all countries offer the same guarantees regarding water quality. Travellers and regular users should therefore filter the water before filling their tanks, then purify the water for consumption using Navy Clic purifiers.

Purpose of pre-filtration

The purpose of pre-filtration is to remove sediment from the water supply system, thereby limiting contamination of the tanks.

Filtration is therefore an essential step prior to water purification, ensuring the water is safe to drink.
